Runs large, size up. No washing/care instruction tag
The main reason I chose to order this dress is because it is made of cotton andI wanted a natural fiber material. I should note that mine came with the top button loose, it fell off when I first took the dress out of the package, but I saved it to sew back on. The dress comes with a size tag sewn in, but no care instructions or anything else that would indicate that it is in fact cotton, but it feels like cotton. I washed and dried the dress on normal cycle and it came out just fine.FIT— The style is really pretty but runs rather large! I am usually a size small-medium, and generally order small if the material is stretchy, and Medium if the material doesn’t have stretch. This dress does not have stretch so I went with medium, and it fits like a large typically would fit me. It is very loose around the waist, and even loose in the upper bust/armhole area. I was very excited for this dress because it is pretty in person but the size is like a sack on me. I would definitely recommend sizing down from your usual size. I’ll be adding some hidden elastic to help cinch up the waist area.Overall I love the style of the dress but I now have to do some alterations and sew the button back on to make it work which is kind of a miss for me…This review is for Zeagoo Button Down Summer Dress 2025 Spring Flutter Sleeve Cotton Linen Dress with Pockets – I state this just in case the product assortment under this link changes later on.

Way too expensive
This dress is VERY thin and half the buttons flew off during the first wash and first wear. I had to sew all the buttons.

Casual Comfort
XXL size fits as expected. Washed on cool and hung dry, not a lot of wrinkles. I could wear without ironing, but I’m a super casual gal. The fabric is very light weight so I’ll double check the need for a half slip in full sunlight. Looking forward to warm spring/summer weather to enjoy!

Not a fan
This button down summer dress is cute looking but I am not a fan of the material. It feels rough and crinkly and the dress is actually quite thin and almost see through. Not at all what I was expecting. It is very flattering looking though, so I may wear it as a cover up for my swim suit. If I do decide to wear it out, I will definitely feel better layering this over a cami and undershorts.

Awkward Fit & Disappointing Quality
The bust is too small even for a small chested woman. Two buttons popped off within the first wear. I had higher expectations.The good: color is beautiful, material looks like linen, and fast shipping.

So comfortable
This dress looks like the pictures. I am usually between a small and a medium and I went with the medium in this one because it is cotton so I was concerned about shrinkage. I like the medium. I ended up washing this and air drying it. I’m afraid it might shrink in the dryer. I also find that sometimes air drying actually does better for wrinkles than drying in the dryer. Yes, I hung this to dry after flattening out the wrinkles, and it is wrinkle-free enough for me! I am very happy with this. It has a linen-like feel, but a little softer than linen. There is a seam around the waist (which I can feel in other dresses) the medium was loose enough that I cannot feel the seam at all, and I will be able to wear this on its own without an underlayer, because it is comfortable alone. I’m excited to wear this on days that I want to look nice, but feel the need to also be super comfortable. Would also make a great over-layer with a swimsuit.
