Comfortable and charming
This dress and the fit was exactly what I was hoping for, and even exceeded expectations. But one surprise element to this dress that wasn’t noted in the fabric content, which the garment description shows as 100% cotton, is that it has a light lining that’s definitely synthetic. But the lining has a nice, silky feel, making this already comfortable dress slip on like a dream. In the front, the lining starts below the front bodice, at the gathered part of the dress, and in the back, it starts right under the neck yoke. I was worried that the lining would make this otherwise cotton dress a bit hot, especially on the back if you’re sitting against something like a hot car seat for any length of time. But that’s not the case. Even in almost 100-degree weather, the dress stayed cool. And the lining keeps the dress from being too sheer, so I’m glad it’s there, even if it’s not cotton.This is a pretty forgiving style, so I bought it in a size larger than I usually wear. I’m 5’5”, and it came just about a couple of inches below my knee, which is perfect for me. The fact that it drapes a bit better in the larger size actually makes it more flattering and slimming than if the fit at the top was a bit less loose. The dress is surprisingly well made, and the cotton fabric is soft, has great movement and is not at all stiff. Though having previously worked for years in women’s apparel, I expect that certain fabric colors may have slightly different textures. And as is often the case with less expensive clothing, the quality of the fabric can change from garment to garment — whether due to the dye colors used or changes in fabric sourcing — even if it’s the same make and style. So I’ll be prepared for some variations when I order more, because I definitely want this dress in more colors.7/13/24 UPDATE: It’s been sweltering here in NorCal for the past couple of weeks, and this dress is all I want and can bear to wear in this heat. Even though the light lining isn’t cotton, the dress is still cool and comfortable, and the lining allows the body of the dress to drape nicely. Just received delivery of my third of these dresses, and after wearing the previous two quite a bit, I really appreciate the light texture to the fabric, which keeps it from appearing wrinkled, even if you take an unplanned, heat-induced nap in it. Woke up and the dress was surprisingly unwrinkled! Oh, and now that I have it in three colors, I can report that the quality of the fabric and construction is consistent with each order. Also — can’t stress this enough — buying it a bit oversized is actually more sliming than having it too tight over the bodice. And due to the slight drape of the lined body of the dress, it doesn’t balloon out and make you look larger. Be brave and go big!

Great summer dress
Super comfy, lightweight summery throw on dress. This can be worn for daytime casual or dressed up with a cute pair of sandals and some jewelry. Nice lining, washes well. Threw it in the dryer with no shrinking and no ironing required. May order in another color.

the green is a nice, light subtle color. the gently patterned fabric is very nice, and the fit OK as recommended . i am 5′ 6 1/2 ” and about 180 pounds. 2X was suggested. it is a bit large , but i did not want something too tight on the bust, so i am happy. it is longer than expected, hitting just below knee, but it should be easy enough for me to take up the hem a few inches. not sure i like the non cotton lining. it does make it less see through which is a plus, but it also feels like it might get sticky on hot days or for ‘beach cover’ purposes. have not tested it out yet. OTOH it is possible the lining helps the dress drape better. fortunately the lining does not go all the way to the hem..so i won’t have to mess with the lining when i take up the hem. might even remove it if it bugs me, but for now, this is a lovely garment.

ACCURATE PRESENTATION
This dress is exactly what I expected – a cheap coverup for doing housework without getting dressed. The sizing is pretty accurate, although a large is presented as 12-14. It is much more a 12 than a 14. I hope it does not shrink.I find it comfortable and cool. The lining makes it a modest covering. It is suitable for an outdoor party or a beach covering. I would not choose it for other wearings.

Love the black – coral is pink
I bought this dress in two colors because I loved the first one I received in black. I’m not a fan of the slip and other than that it’s a nice summer dress. The second color purchased (coral) didn’t arrive. Product was labeled lost & I had to request a refund. I reorded the coral again my favorite color. The dress arrived and its more pink than coral which often happens with this color label. The dress didn’t have a tag & had a small stain right at the bottom of the neckline. Presumably, it was worn & returned. So I’m returning the “coral/ pink” and keeping the black. I’m 176 lbs, 5″9′ & DD and this dress fits without being too tight.

Comfy
It’s 100% cotton, except for the lining. But overall, it’s a breathable fabric, which is important on those hot humid days. I’m a little over 5’7″ and 155lbs. I ordered the medium. The dress is very loose, very light and that’s fine for hot days. It hit me almost below the knee. I don’t need a slip because of the lining, which comes down to my midthigh. So the lining covers what needs to be covered. It’s inexpensive but for just an every day dress to wear, it’s fine. The placard in front lets the dress fall into a shape, vs a shapeless bag of a dress. I also do like the 2 little front pockets.Edit. I machine washed in cold, hung it to dry. Not a lot of shrinkage, maybe a 1 /4 inch in length. Maybe not as loose. It now hits just above my knees. I do like this dress. It’s comfy to wear, I like not needing a slip, who wants an elastic band around their waist in hot humid weather? Not me! I would buy it again.

The dress is of low quality stiff material and not comfortable for the beach. Low quality and terrible cut. I don’t recommend.
