Great dresses if you get them at a cheap price
My daughter is at the stage where she HAS to wear a dress, every single day. So the amount of inexpensive, casual “play” dresses that I’ve bought over the past…2 years? is absurd. I got this one in a few different prints and they’re great, if you can get them for cheap. I paid around $5 each. I really don’t think I would go higher than $8-10 at the absolute most, especially if you’re hoping to size up and have it last until the next spring/summer to be used again. I know from previous dress purchases from this brand to say they’ll look super worn out by then. Like only messy art project and park playing kind of wear at that point. They start to show fading pretty quickly.I’m going to compare this to the Garanimals, Wonder Nation, etc… brand of casual dresses you can get at Walmart for around $6. They always have a set of them come out seasonally and I typically snag a few each time. The quality and overall feel of those is better. The Children’s Place has a thinner fabric, and doesn’t hold up as well. They’re ok (again, if cheap), and really cute if you’re getting a particular seasonal print that you don’t expect to have worn more than a few times anyway. Overall, there are fun prints available. This year I got the light purple with the cutesy Halloween print and it got a ton of compliments. If you also have a rambunctious child that is equal parts dressy wannabe princess and skinned knees, these are good to have around. But don’t expect to get something that will wash and wear really great and be particularly usable the next year.Another positive though is the sizing. She’s 5, around 50inches (maybe? shes on the taller end of kids in class) and about 52-55lbs. She typically would wear a Medium 7-8 but most dresses do tend to pull at the chest. Unfortunately I think she’s going to be built like me, a linebacker. She’s not really chubby or anything, just a wide build. I bought these in a size up Large 10-12, and the sizing is pretty spot on, if not generous even. It’s nicely roomy in the waist and chest, plenty long enough, etc… Definitely not like the dresses you find that are oddly narrow and seem to be cut for a thin teenager instead of a kid barely out of the toddler years. With those types of dresses I always need to size up, but didn’t need to for this. Too bad the fabric isn’t a better quality because I could easily get another year out of them with the sizing. If I can catch them at a cheap price, it’s an easy decision to get more when needed though. Typically if you’re paying 5 bucks for a dress, you have a good idea what you’re in for.

Soft fabric w/ rich colors
I was really impressed with this dress for my 6 year old niece. She’s quite thin and long, everywhere. Finding clothes that fit around her waist or dresses that go down to or below her knees are very difficult. We purchased quite a few items from this seller and were quite happy with the quality. The fabric is softer than it looks. Not like a teddy bear soft but moveable, breathable and not too heavy but not so light it’s see through. The colors are rich and the flower pattern is pretty. Seems like it’s a quality dress for a little girl who isn’t too rough rolling around all over the place. She wasn’t tugging on any part of it which tells me she wasn’t comfortable in it. We paired this with a black cardigan, white fold down white dress socks and opaque black ballet dress shoe. The beautiful deep green of the dress really brought some color to all the black and white without making it feel like forced color.

Super cute dress!
Super cute dress, a little bigger than expected, but my daughter is on the thin side, so they could just be our experience.

Thick material
Colorful nice thick material washes up nicely. Can wear dress alone in summer or with leggins in winter.

Love it
I love the halloween 🎃 dress! The fit is perfect no need to size up or down. The material is soft and will hold up! I’ve washed it a few times now and it’s not had any fading! Great value for the money I only paid $6!!!
